This is a reminder for me and those like-minded. Of course "like-minded" is a nicer way of saying "absent-minded." See I'm very forgetful, and Valentine's Day is no time to be forgetful. It's the 14th of Feb, y'all. As a matter of fact, the past two years my valentine and I have written songs for each other. This is not an easy task for someone who is as
musically uncoordinated as I am. This also makes the days leading up to V'Day very stressful. If anyone has any suggestions about how to write a song, please let me know. My current method of
stressing out a lot and finally throwing something down out of tune and off key will only suffice for so many years. Before I forget again, it's the 14th, y'all.

Something Out of Anything | Sat 2/6 at 7:30p: For $5, fellow Junior Varsity member Shawn Wickens has this show that spotlights a different person's life from a WAY different perspective. The only thing that's the same is that it's always hilarious. This show features Nick Kanelis. | Magnet Theater |
biweekly Musical Mixer | Tue 2/9 & 2/23 @10:00p: A Double-dose of Trudy Carmichael. Due to popular demand this lucious lounge act (played by Robin Rothman) is now gracing the Magnet stage twice a month at a new time encouraging anyone and everyone to take a turn with her...her show, that is. Get up on stage and sing made up songs like their old standards. COST = FREE! | Magnet Theater |
| Any day you want to challenge yourself to eat $65 of delicious bbq, Hill Country will let you try. If you finish, it's free. If you don't...well, I'm guessing it'll cost you $65 and a lot of pride. Thanks to fellow food blogger and softball teammate Marc "Cleat" Smith for the lead. His food blog taught me a new word Edacious which I have since used in Scrabble. | Hill Country, NYC |
